Parties that never were, parties that will be – presenting the JW Anderson Men’s Autumn Winter 2022 and Women’s Pre Fall 2022 show. The collections celebrate dressing as a feisty act that eschews barriers of gender and taste where cherished moments of happiness clash and collide in a silly fantasy of unabashed fun.

Presented digitally in the form of a video, the show intersperses women’s and men’s ready-to-wear. Lads and gals share a wardrobe that is so glaring, sparkling, saturated and fun, it is perfect for both.

Jonathan Anderson’s latest collection for his eponymous brand hits a ludicrous note. The proudly masculine and the wickedly feminine are united in a kaleidoscopic blur of bright hues and metallic flashes. Accessories bring silliness and naivety to a farcical level. A pigeon in the hand. An elephant, too. A circular bag. Kindergarten shoes and draped pumps. Dressing bluntly, clashing bits and pieces with fragments of youth like confetti scattered around at a house party.
