THE JW ANDERSON SNEAKER

After years of successful and sold-out sneaker collaborations, our first-ever JW Anderson sneaker has arrived. First seen in our Men’s Autumn Winter and Pre-Fall 2021 collections, the JW Anderson sneaker is a study in deconstruction, craft and exploded proportions. Constructed of high-quality leather and canvas with thick rubber bases, the JW Anderson sneaker is available in purple, green, orange, black on black, white on white, brown and white with gum sole a perennial exclusive for JW Anderson.

“At JW Anderson we have always looked at this idea of deconstruction and blowing up proportions” said Jonathan Anderson, Founder and Creative Director of JW Anderson. “Through the development with our design team and at the factories that we work with we came up with a new shoe that’s a twist on the traditional. I like to think of it as an abstraction of a known sneaker but with disproportionate volumes.”

IN STORE PERSONALISATION

Customers who visit the store and purchase sneakers have the opportunity to customise their pair as well using JW Anderson branded beads and their name or initials.

On her JW Anderson sneakers:
There are some earthworms crawling on the shoe. Earthworms are more intelligent and talented than I thought. Throughout their lifespan, their activity in the soil helps keep the soil healthy and fertile. They can also be dinner for fish and birds. This made me think that spending a fulfilling life like an earthworm would be nice too. The concept was that the earthworms will be cultivating the shoe for a while, then the shoe will return to nature as good fertile soil. This is a dream shoe which may be reborn as an earthworm someday.
